Individual travels

Professionally guided

Individual traveling with Frank Dietze

My idea of travel design is to see you as a very individual guest. This gives you the opportunity to design suitable routes according to your requirements and wishes and to book appropriate transfers and accommodation. The countries I can travel with you can be found under Destinations.

With Osthorizonte, the focus is by no means on all-inclusive travel packages. I want your trip to be a very personal experience, without missing the service of professional planning or a competent local tour guide.

I look forward to your contact by email or telephone.

Frank Dietze knew so many interesting things to report, which one does not find in any travel guide. He has a profound knowledge of the countries he has traveled to so often and his enthusiasm really carries you away.

About Frank Dietze

Frank Dietze

I live in Leipzig, love this city and its surroundings. I have a certificate from the Leipzig Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which allows me to offer guided tours for the major providers in Leipzig. Beyond the big „highlights“, I know many hidden and quiet corners of the city and also the "small" stories.

In Saxony, but also in Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and in the Spreewald I am often and gladly on the road and gladly pass on some of my knowledge and experience to you.

In 1991 I traveled to Eastern Central Europe for the first time as a child and discovered my sympathy for the region. In the following years this feeling turned into enthusiasm.

The enthusiasm for the Czech Republic and Slovakia soon had a new generation and I chose the area of former Yugoslavia as my third adopted country.

Countless visits to these countries, many friendships as well as the many years of work as a tour guide enabled me to immerse myself in cities and villages, to get to know the everyday culture of the people, to taste all kinds of specialities and to climb one mountain or another.

By studying Slavic Studies I got to know many special features of the cultures and history even better. I speak Czech, Slovak, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin and Serbian fluently.

Which I can say with certainty: Whether professionally or privately, I never get bored with all these experiences and journeys!

Through my experience as a tour guide since 2010, I am aware of the role I play in mediating on various topics about the different countries and it means a lot to me to be able to open the door to the countries and their people for my guests.

Mr. Dietze inspires with his great knowledge and an infectious love for the country and its people. He succeeds in landing on the spot between seriousness and lightness, which makes a journey to something very special.

Travel planning and preparation without a tour guide:

Publikationen

Trescher Albanienführer
Albanien - Mit Tirana, Berat, Gjirokastër, Riviera und Albanischen Alpen

The travel guide about Albania written by me and Shkëlzen Alite will be published in 2022 in the 4th updated edition by Trescher Verlag. This and all other books of the publishing house are available free of shipping costs within Germany on the website of the publishing house.

During my travels I have collected a lot of background information and tips about the country and its people. The book is suitable for study and individual travelers as well as for anyone interested in Albania.

Reisebildband Reise durch Albanien
Reise durch Albanien

The travel illustrated book Albania was published in Verlagshaus Würzburg.

The photographer Martin Siepmann traveled all over the country and visited all the well-known towns, but also remote villages, the magnificent Northern Albanian Alps as well as touristically less known areas in the east of the country. Thus a wide range of motives was created, which I describe. The further chapters range from history, the regions of Albania to explanations about the Albanian cuisine or the bunkers scattered around the country.
